Our first cat/dog transport of 2018 is scheduled to leave Princeton on the evening of May 19. There are many costs involved in transporting these animals to larger rescues where they have a greater chance of getting adopted. Vetting required by state law of both WV and the states where the animals go, pet supplies for the trip, van rental, fuel and tolls, meals for our transport team and more. Average cost of a trip is around $2,000. We need the help of the community in order to make these trips happen. If you’d like to be a part of this donations can be sent via PayPal to:
swvanimalleague@gmail.com (be sure to indicate it’s for transport),
by check mailed to SWVAL, PO Box 1853, Princeton, WV 24740 (put "transport" in memo area) or dropped off at All Creatures Veterinary Clinic, 1916 W. Main Street, Princeton, during their regular business hours.
We still need cat & kitten food, both dry and canned which can be dropped off at All Creatures.

Thank you. See MoreSee Less

FOSTER NEEDED FOR THIS GROUP.
We have another momma cat and kittens. This is Beauty and her 4 black & white babies; 3 girls & 1 boy. Boy is C. They will be ready for meeting/adoption on 4/28.

If you’re interested in adopting one of them the adoption fee is $100 which includes:
• veterinarian examination
• current vaccines
• current flea, intestinal parasite, and heartworm prevention
• spay/neuter
• a microchip and insertion for identification if ever lost or stolen
• current FELV/FIV test
In order to adopt, fill out the adoption application from our website, www.swval.org, or email us at adopt.swval@gmail.com and we’ll send you an application. Applications are considered in the order received. Since we do not have a physical location our pets are in foster homes, some as far as 2 hours from Princeton, where we are based and do our adoptions. Therefore we require an approved adoption application in order to meet a pet. This will also allow immediate possession of a pet if, at the meeting, it’s decided the pet is a match. Submitting an application does not obligate one to adopt but a meeting will only be arranged for serious applicants. Initial contact is by email only as we do not have a phone dedicated to our organization and must limit use of personal phones for conducting rescue business. Indicate on the form which kitten(s) you’re interested in by stating "Beauty’s litter" and kitten letter.
Beauty will also be available after kittens are weaned and she has been spayed. Meeting mom and/or kittens cannot occur until they are weaned.

PLEASE SPAY/NEUTER YOUR PETS! See MoreSee Less

The mom will also be available after kittens are weaned and she is spayed. Her name is Astrid. See her picture and description on comments. We are guessing this is her first litter so she was probably born around this time 2017. Meeting mom and/or kittens cannot occur until they are weaned.
